There's literally nothing wrong with this. The writing is good, the story is fast-paced and engaging, the magic system is interesting and fun. But I don't feel connected to any of the characters and I HATE inanimate objects that can talk. I felt like I was going into a slump having to pick this up every day. If I had to give this a rating, it would probably be 3 stars-- great in some ways, but not for me.
