The Furies was a really enjoyable semi-thriller. It’s not a mystery, but there is this constant sense of tension throughout as new information is revealed. The format and narrative were gripping, and I liked the tonal shift that was provided by diary entries and letters.
The novel also has some really beautiful words about the ache of loss and grief, and it provides a good perspective on what it must feel like to lose the person closest to you.
