Furiously Happy: A Funny Book about Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson
5.0
You know that scene in Return of the Jedi where the Ewoks are making that "ooh-who-oo" sound when worshiping C-3PO? Basically that's how I feel about Jenny Lawson.
As someone in her "tribe" my heart would soar and shrink along with her stories of battling mental illness. I actually put this down for a bit because... I'm not sure exactly. It was healing to read, but I also had to balance it with fiction/ fantasy for a bit of an escape from the resulting self-examination.
I have a few people in my life that NEED this book, but I'm not sure that my amazing talent for guilt-tripping would work in this case. I think people have to come to this book on their own. That doesn't mean I can't buy it for them, if only to lessen their chances of finding a dead body in a bathroom stall. Obviously.
Thank you Jenny, for your honesty, love, and integrity. You are an amazing neurotic golden robot of inspiration.
