What a journey. Have been reading this for well over a month and loved every minute of it. The adventure, the drama, the mystery, the satisfaction of the gradually unfolding revenge as well as the philosophical exploration of what revenge really means and the impact it has on the avenger. The scope of this book is just flooring. I am sad to have finished it and will carry this with me for a long time.

Knocked off half a star bc of the plotline with Haydée but I do appreciate it was written in a different time and it makes sense dramaturgically
