I had the opportunity to be an eARC reader for Souvenirs and it was a fun summer read!

I enjoyed that the FMC, Em/Sonny was an awkward, type 1 diabetic who grew into becoming an opinionated woman who states her needs and wants. It’s clearly one of Finn’s favorite things about her, even though it takes him the whole book to confess that out loud to her 🙃

I haven’t read a miscommunication trope like this in a really long time and let me tell you, it PISSED ME OFF. Finn thinks he’s this awful person and doesn’t deserve happiness, so he pushes away everyone, yet he’s living out Em’s dream? The pining, then stonewalling from him about made me punch my ereader. Multiple times.

The story is a dual timeline, bouncing from their college experiences together to present day. It explains the lore, but it just annoyed me more and more. Just go to therapy or something, my gosh 😤

Anywho, if you want a summer read about second chances, found family and summer time vibes, check out Souvenirs 🌊🎶
