You Don't Know Me by Imran Mahmood

5.0

You don't know me is a debut book about a man on trial for murder. He fires his lawyer to explain what happened. There are 8 reasons why he looks guilty and it takes 10 days to talk us, the jury, and try to convince us of his innocence.
This book took a little to get into, as I'm a country bumpkin, that kind of street talk isn't something I'm used to. It is quite thought provoking that this kind of thing goes on and the book was very well written I felt I was there with him whilst he going through everything. It's scary to think that these things really do happen and depending on where you live shapes the outcome for your future.
There's not many novels out there that make you sit back and really think about what you've read, but this is one of those. Would definitely recommend to all my fellow bookworms and will keep an eye out for future books.
