Astor: The Rise and Fall of an American Fortune by Katherine Howe, Anderson Cooper

Did not finish book. Stopped at 22%.
This is several book reports strung badly (sorry, Katherine) together for a Bachelor's degree honors thesis that I don't think would even be accepted. I would say I'm not sure how it got published, but as is made clear several times in the first hundred pages, Anderson Cooper is - if you can believe it - a Vanderbilt (or at least his mother is) and he is Very Important and knows Very Important People.

Check the index and read one of the three books he cites extensively instead.
