Yup, still love it.

original review
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love the way Katie Cotungo tells a story. For YA, she creates complex (not always likeable) characters and puts them in complex situations.
I was reading some negative reviews and a lot of people said they didn't like the book because their relationship was so toxic. Well duh, their past relationship was very toxic but that's kind of the whole point. She falls for a guy with real issues and doesn't realize it until she's in too deep.
But I do agree with other reviewers, the story kind of hinges on how you feel about Sawyer. I didn't mind him but I happen to enjoy assholes (let us not get asshole confused with douchebag). I don't think he was inherently a bad guy.
Cotungo's stories aren't for everyone. But if you enjoy flawed characters that act their age and sometimes make wrong choices, then read away!
