I think I need a moment... someone needs to slap me.....

omg

Okay, omg, did that just happen?? -- Maybe I just needed to slap myself to make sure I wasn't losing it.

I looooveeedd this book!! A great sequel to Obsidian.

SpoilerFirst off, I need to say that there were some things that kind of disappointed me. It was predictable in some aspects and I hate that. Blake, we all knew he wasn't trust worthy, nor was he a good guy. I pegged him right from the beginning. As for Will, I definitely knew he was NO GOOD since the first book. So when he was all revealed as a villain and I'm sure most were like "OMG SAY IT ISN'T SO?!?" I was going "UGH, KNEW IT" It's always the smaller characters who you don't really talk about much who seem so nice blah blah blah, that end up being the "shocker bad guys" -- for once I would like a book to REALLY surprise me.

Daemon.....*sigh* -- alright, he totally won me over in this book. Although I was slowly starting to have a soft spot from him at the end of the first, he really stole my heart in this one. So welcome Daemon. Welcome to my list of swoon worthy - love machines. He was like a new person in this book. & one that I really really loved. I think there was a moment on the Thanksgiving scene where I really did feel like shedding a tear and thought "crap, why can't guys like you REALLY exist" haha. Now although he still had his "jackass jerk" moments, he grew on me alot.

Katy, I still admire you and I still think your awesome. But, she lost a little bit of her "badass" attitude in the book. I'll admit the whole mutation thing didn't really help, but I felt she was a lot more vulnerable in this book, where in the first she really stood her own. Don't worry, I still love her though. She really showed her true emotions for Daemon in this one and I'm glad nothing was held back anymore. I admit, even in the moments where she figured out some crazy new thing about someone/something she told someone, RIGHT AWAY! Biggest annoyance in books where someone finds out this huge piece of the puzzle and they think it's no big deal to not tell anyone for a little while and then BAM! Your hurt or kidnapped or something and no one is able to help you because you DIDN'T OPEN YOUR DAMN MOUTH! So thank you Katy, thank you for finally being a character to tell people (the important ones) you found out some big piece of the puzzle that really mattered. :):)

So I have probably ranted long enough. So while I go off and immediately pick up Opal everyone else who hasn't started this series better get on it!! ;)
