The Cat Who Saw Red by Lilian Jackson Braun
4.0
I especially liked this step forward in "The Cat Who" series. I like that Coco and YumYum had more active roles, that Qwill was someone that not everyone liked, and the array of varied characters. I loved Coco learning to type. It was a nice twist.
More character development happened here. However, some parts of the interactions seem out of sync. Qwill's description is not of someone that I would fall over but it seems most of the women in the series do. That sits oddly for me. Why would so many women be drawn to a guy with a superlong moustache that is a recovering alcoholic clearly living on the edge of his budget? Maybe something here has been lost to time. I appreciate how this book is leading Qwill towards future changes.
