Dungeon Crawler Carl
by Matt Dinniman
This has been one of the best first books in a series for LitRPG I’ve ever read, Matt's set a new standard for me with LitRPG, and just books in general. Gosh damn, I can't stop gushing about it.
Okay so we have this MC that isn’t actually a dick and coming from He Who Fights With Monsters, that’s a welcome relief. Someone with depth, a conscience, and someone who's pretty damn human.
This book sets up in a similar way to a dungeon book, but with genuinely interesting mechanics in each floor. The characters are interesting and have stories to tell, lots of mechanics and lore. I was originally unsure if I'd like it, but as I read through the series, I realized ->
= Update: I fuck with it quite a lot. And please, just read it. The humour is just *chefs kiss*. The perfect amount of randomness, with a lot of weirdness mixed into it.
