This books wasn't my cup of tea at all. The writing was very poor (things were set up and then resolved in the next paragraph, characters were one-dimensional mouthpieces for whatever the author herself wanted to say etc.). Moreover, the book romanticised domestic abuse and alleviated the blame of the abuser with unrelated trauma, "uncontrollable emotions", and blamed the abuse partly on the abused.
