This was a highly enjoyable book that hits on some of my favorite tropes. It lost a star because it really needed another pass through by an editor and a proofreader. Still, it’s a solid four star read. I loved Jamie’s patience and understanding for Rylan. Rylan is a wonderful leader, who just wants to do right by his team and his dad - even at the sacrifice of being happy and being himself. It has a satisfying ending, and I look forward to seeing more of them in future books in the series.
