Willa of Dark Hollow, by Robert Beatty

adventurous emotional hopeful lighthearted mysterious fast-paced
I loved Willa of Dark Hollow which is more of a companion and less of a sequel to Will of the Wood (which should still be read first).  In this beautiful companion, Willa has to find a way to save the forest, her woodland friends/family from loggers.  There was a twist that I didn’t see coming but I loved it.  I thought the ending was sad but tied the whole story together very well.
