sula was so good, i would have read it in one sitting except it made me so upset that i had to keep putting it down ☹️ toni morrison’s writing is absolutely brilliant and keeps you en captured throughout the whole book, but the events of the book are so so tragic and the characters continue to shock you (not in a good way). i only give this book a 4.5 because it made me so emotionally distressed LMAO.
