Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

When I first started reading this book, I thought the writing style was a bit amateur, but as I kept reading the plot picked up so much that I thought the writing needed to stay simple to follow the intense plot. I devoured the second half of this book. Maven’s story makes me sad, but I’m intrigued as to where this is going. The only things I wish the author had done with this book was let Mare make at least one friend with one of the female silvers (they can’t ALL be completely awful), and I felt the author killing off Lucas, Julian, and Sarah was unnecessary. I barely got to know them before they died, and I feel they had a lot left to say and do, especially Sarah and Lucas.
