Amazing and heartbreaking story of the mistreatment of Korean women by the Japanese during WWII. Having read many a book on the history of WWII and not knowing about this part was a real eye opener to think of all the other things that may have gone on that have yet to be written about. Moving story about a Korean family and how the war destroyed their lives and how they carried on to build from it. Hard to read at some points but very well written, making it real and heartfelt. I am glad I read it.
