The Decagon House Murders by Yukito Ayatsuji

5.0

This was sOooOoOOooo good!! Early on, Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None is mentioned and I can certainly see some parallels and nods made to that novel (which I very much enjoyed). The plot and mystery were compelling. Knowing the whole premise of the novel, that each character at the house would be picked off one by one, it was impossible not to root for my favorite character (it's Poe). It was a classic mystery novel but it was brilliant. It was smart and as a bookseller, I will throw this book at anyone who mentions a like for mystery. And I love that this is something I can read again to find clues I may have missed, a tell that could indicate the truth of the crimes. But fuuuck, what a reveal. Ugh, this was just 5 stars, bravo, brilliant, A+
