Every time I read one of these books, I think "THIS is my favorite book in the series!" I don't know if they keep getting better, or if I just freaking love them all that much. It made ME, a person who has never really been much of a dog person, teary eyed over a pit bull named Shithead.(thankfully, Shithead became Best Boy, and he really was, the Best Boy!) This series has made me want another dog, as ours passed in May, and I really miss having one. Whoda thunk it?
But I adored everyone in this book. Sammy was just so good, all of the people in this series are so good. I also loved that there seemed to be a good resolution for all the newly quickened coming into the town, although I really hope we get a book that goes into WHY there are suddenly so many more quickenings happening than usual. So although this book could very well stand as an ending to this series, there are still questions, and hopefully, we get answers.
