Breaking Nova by Jessica Sorensen
4.0
This book made me feel ...
depressed ... so very, very, very fucking depressed
This story is about Nova. She's struggling to understand and find herself after the death of her boyfriend. Anxiety, depression and an overall sense of loss have consumed her. She finds herself losing control of her emotions, and in some ways her mind.
Now enters Quinton. He's also struggling with depression and loss. But his main issue is a feeling of overwhelming guilt and self-loathing that are leading him away from his true self.
When these two characters collide their mutual attraction goes astray - leaving them both questioning if they are capable or worthy of love & redemption.
There is very little light in this book. There is a lot of drug use, self abuse, rage and crying.
I loved it. Then I hated it. Then I loved it again. It was an emotional roller coaster ride. But the damn thing ended on a pretty steep cliffhanger. One that had me asking ...
Ms. Sorensen - are you trying to hurt me? Really?
Anxiously awaiting the next book!
