Very similar concept as the Phoenix Rising series. Crazy insta-love and not a lot of actual plot. The focus is on the relationships. For a main character with a very traumatic past, I found that Maya just wasn’t very believable. I’d expect at least some PTSD or even difficulty meeting people since she has only met 3 people in her entire 18 years until this book starts... but nope. Idk it just felt flimsy because the author was trying to fit too much relationship development into the book there wasn’t room for anything else.
