WHAT IS THAT "#1" . . . NOPE PLS JUST BE A STANDALONE

This is my first book by Neal Shusterman that I have read. And his books are receiving tons of good reviews - I am even eyeing to read his Unwind Dystology, but it gets lower in my TBR list - since it is a 4 book series plus 1 compilation of short stories.

And upon reading this and the hype of other Neal Shusterman readers, I am disappointed. It become the typical YA novel with some characters making dumb decisions, and I found the two MCs not that. . . really great. But the one character that I like in here is
