This was the worst self help book disguised as fiction ever. Author beats you over the head with cliches and still doesn’t manage to leave a coherent message. I’m also really not a fan of the message about how one goes about dealing with depression and suicidality. These aren’t things you can just change with your outlook. Main character is boring and really doesn’t have a lot of distinctive traits. Super bleh book, only finished because I paid for it on audible.
Graphic: Animal death, Mental illness, Suicide, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide attempt, and Death
Moderate: Alcoholism, Cancer, Self harm, and Death of parent
