An Autobiography of Skin by Lakiesha Carr

Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
The writing was not easy to get through. It was like experiencing someone's fever dream that doesn't have a clear meaning. The second story featuring Maya and her severe postpartum mental illness was especially painful and erratic. I forced myself to get through to the end of that section but I just couldn't keep going.
