Family saga spanning the period from WW2 to Brexit their story captured at the time of 'major' events in England. I found it a little difficult to keep track of who was who, and this might be because I haven't read the other books in this loose series. I found the long quotes from speeches and commentaries by amongst other Churchill, the Dimblebys, and Johnston a little unnecessary and a bit tedious.
Nevertheless interesting to see the changes in society and attitudes across the time period.
