i love emily henry’s writing. she does a great job at interweaving stories while telling an overall message. the romance was sweet and the characters were great. it was deeper than just a happy ending - careers, back stories, families, overlapping themes. a nice lighthearted summer read. loses stars because of its abrupt ending.

why in the last 10 pages, after they burned so slow, did he get down on one knee and propose???!!

i guess anything for a happy ending… ironic
