4.5⭐️ - Ladii Nesha is a new to me author and I had no idea what her pen game was like nor did I know what the full extint of this story was going to be. I had no idea that I would be still thinking about this story several days after completing it.
I loved this story so much. I have been taking my time dissecting each character and notating what I loved about them (or not LOL). Although I will not get into that much detail, I will say what I liked about each main one.
Taylor- I loved her. I loved that she was a BBW and that she was confident in herself. She was loyal and she was hilarious. I loved the banter that she had and the quick wit. She loved her brother and even loved Jalen. She had a big heart and I am glad that things worked out for her.
Rahlo- I LOVED him and his dimple. I was glad that he was able to see past where he grew up and understood that he needed to evolve his thinking. He was loyal to his friends and his hood but sometimes that can be a downfall. I am glad that he was able to grow and mature in that respect. But he had THEW biggest heart because that momma of his...chile please. Loved his growth.
KiKi- She was a mess but I enjoyed her messiness. She was a true friend and always had Tayors back no matter what.
Duke- He felt like someone owed him something and I actually felt bad for him. He gave up on himself and I was hoping that would have changed
Bruce- He was the best friend that we all needed. Always ready to protect no matter what and gave advice. He was a good guy.
Lexi- delusional and sad. that is all i can say about her.
Jasper- Needed to be taken care of.....permanently. Im glad he got what he had coming to him. that the nicest thing i can say about.
Esha- Loved her and her drive. She loved her brother and I am glad she was as strong as she was. She deserved happiness.
Emory- Can kick rocks......
This story touch basis on so many things. I liked the fact that Rahlo was able to have a dream, pursue it, and was adamant about helping other. He learned that all the glitters is not gold however, staying true to yourself is what will keep you grounded. Learning to see snakes for who they are and getting rid of the users will help you catapult to higher heights. He deserved to be loved unconditionally and I am glad that he was able to have that in Esha, Taylor, and family. The biggest lesson- everybody does not deserve your loyalty and they can't handle your truth.
