This book was so freaking fun. We follow Jude who is a young art student, which isn't having a great time at life right now, and Al, the charming alien that literally almost crashed right on top of him. An intergalactic meet-cute.
The plot is meh. I have less than favorable opinions about the miscommunication trope. While this isn't the worst I have read, I wasn't a big fan.
However, the real MVP's of this book anyway are the characters. Al was the most adorable dorky alien I have ever read. His running commentary on everything human was not only kinda relatable but hilariously accurate. Jude is going through some shit and is a totally relatable character. I loved all the side characters as well and can't wait to read more.
Overall a very successful first installment of what will be a very fun series.
