As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson

5.0

i've had to sit with my thoughts on this last installment for a few days but i think i'm ready for the review:

(THIS IS NOT A SPOILER FREE REVIEW, SPOILERS AHEAD)

i love pippa and i love the journey her character goes through. i think a lot of the reviews saying this feels out of character from the pippa in the first two books: that's the point. she isn't the same pippa. she doesn't believe in justice in the hands of the system she once wanted to be part of. the book pushes the idea that charlie green and her are the same person. they take justice into their own hands, and that's what pippa did.

Spoilerand of course she separated herself from her friends, family and ravi at the end. she's still the same in the ways that matter: she loves her support system. why would she risk them getting in trouble? i feel like every move and decision she made was very in-tune with the pippa fitz-amobi this series molded throughout every book. she ended being the person she was supposed to be. "if anyone could get away with it, it'd probably be you" and it was and she did and i love her for it. #fuck both those men. i don't care that she killed jason and framed max. i support her! that's my girl!
