This book takes a slightly darker turn. The charm and humor is still there, but the case Samantha and the gang are working on turns very dangerous. Sam continues to be finding her feet in her new career as a PI and the mystery of her "husband" continues to be mysterious....did he really die? Sam and Leo continue to dance around each other a bit and you can see that there might be a romance in the future. It is a sweet situation and does not over take the story line or the development of the other characters. I really enjoy this series and is just what is needed.
