Did not finish book. Stopped at 60%.

I could not bring myself to get invested into the mystery plot & did not feel the character's connection beyond them being horny for each other. Plus, the writing stile is just not for me, what is it with the "orbs" instead of eyes and sex being described as wet macaroni?
