Whenever I have to write reviews for my favourite books, I feel like I can never put into words why are they so good, no matter how hard I try. But let me try.

Shadow of the wind is such a rich story, with many different characters and quite some deep dives into their lives, so if that isn't for you, maybe it's best you skip it.
The setting of a Barcelona before and after civil war, the gothic buildings and a dark and twisty plot are so engaging and somehow so perfect for a summer read.
I love the characters and how they all have their stories which are intertwined in such a perfect way that makes you care for them really hard, no matter how small their part in the story actually is.
The bookish setting is a dream and I feel perfect for any bookworm out there.
It is tense and will keep you on the edge of your seat so please, if you haven't read this book, get your hands on it! 🤎

(There are some trigger warnings and gruesome scenes so make sure to inform yourself about them before reading the book)
