Hill Women: Finding Family and a Way Forward in the Appalachian Mountains by Cassie Chambers
3.0
I liked this book , then I hated it, then I liked it again as I read it. It takes a few tangents, starting out, as the title suggests, as a tribute to Hill Women. It then spends a bit of time as a commercial for Berea College, and then as a resume/"look how great I am" of the authors, before getting back to the main gist of the story.
The main part of the story is very good. I can relate to the story because of my own Appalachian roots. It made me feel good that Cassie, in the end, was working to help struggling families.
