A really solid book. I wish I'd found it as a teenager because I think it would've made a big impact on me. I'm always impressed with Kingfishers' exploration of unique magic. It felt realistic on an emotional level, all of it, and maybe that would be a bit heavy for a kid to read but I think I would've really appreciated it as a kid/teen, because I appreciate it a lot now. Another great read from TK.
