Cape May by Chip Cheek

Thank you to Celadon Books for the free Advance Readers' copy of "Cape May." This book centers around a newly married couple, Effie and Henry, in 1957. They travel to the resort town of Cape May, New Jersey for their honeymoon. Cape May is a place where Effie had traveled for summer vacations, but this is the first time that she had been there in the off-season. After a few days in Cape May, Henry and Effie start to get cabin fever. One day, they notice activity in a neighboring house. They go to investigate and this is where the story gets interesting. Without giving anything away, Effie and Henry's relationship becomes sorely tested by their interactions with the neighbors.

This book is a quick, intense read. I enjoyed the character development and the pace of the story. I would highly recommend it.
