Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed by The Woman on the Pier.
I felt like there were too many twists and turns to actually be invested in the story. I thought the pier would have been more relevant to the overarching story rather than mentioned in one chapter. It also felt that what happened on the pier didn't actually matter much to the plot.
This was one of those books where instead of thinking "what's going to happen next" in a good way, I was thinking it in a dreaded way. I was almost tempted to DNF but pushed through just in case it got better. But spoiler alert, it didn't.
