White Women: Everything You Already Know About Your Own Racism and How to Do Better by Saira Rao, Regina Jackson

inspiring reflective

4.5

What an honest and direct book. Definitely does not pull any punches. It appears to be written explicitly for white women™️, but I think anyone looking to deepen their understanding of antiracism work and reflect on how they may be complicit to yt supremacy in their daily life can benefit from it.

Though, I do wonder why there seems to be a lack of (explicit) criticisms for capitalism and also connecting yt supremacy to capitalism. I feel like it didn't really address that or classism. I wonder if the actual intended audience - who seem to be middle- or upper-class white women - will actually understand that bringing down yt supremacy = capitalism = classism/elitism and this is how it will benefit all of humanity.
