I can't believe this only has an average of 3 stars. It is a little hard to stomach at first, but you get used to it, and of you pay attention as you go you understand what's going on.
Kirby is an amazing character and I haven't hated someone as much as Harper in a very long time. The characters are all interesting, the concept is captivating, and all wrapped in excellent writing that makes it hard to put the book down.
Even if you don't have a tough hide for this kind of thing (like me) I think the intensity of the story and excellence of the telling is worth the read.
