An instant favorite. I felt deep personal connection and real-world parallels to this otherworldly story through my personal experience of illness in both myself and my partner. Two books in one as the story completely shifts half way through, it could have ruined the experience but it was done so well that it adds even more depth to the heart-wrenching plot.
