I absolutely loved this story and couldn't put it down. I was so intrigued by Thea in the first book and enjoyed getting to know her and her story. And Shep is the biggest teddy bear and fiercest protector. He loves deeply and isn't afraid to show it with his he cares for others. I liked how this delved into his emotional scars from the events of the first book too. I love how careful Shep was with Thea and how he made sure she opened up and trusted on her own timeline. I think that Cowles did a great job of showcasing an emotionally abusive relationship with care and respect. The stalking/revenge porn storyline was an interesting take and different from the suspense Cowles usually does. I totally did not see the final twist coming and was on the edge of my seat to see how it all resolved. 5 stars, no notes, I loved this.
