The Walking Dead, Vol. 21: All Out War Part 2 by Robert Kirkman

As I read this comic I paused to reflect, do I actually enjoy this zombie soap opera? The answer is that I'm really not sure. I think that at this point (volume twenty frickin one) i'm just too invested to quit now.

I read the comic and watch the show and I have to say that I enjoy the show infinitely more than the comic with its terribly written dialogue and go-nowhere plot.

Negan is no longer interesting, and his expletive filled speeches are so repetitive that I am completely desensitized to his bawdy vulgarity. I mean you can only listen to a man talk about his genitals so many times.

Then there's Rick Grimes, the luckiest unlucky man in the entire zombie apocalypse. How many times is this guy going to get seriously injured and then just get up and walk away?! Seriously, stop trying to trick us into thinking Rick is going to die, there is resilience and then there is ridiculousness.

Also, can someone please just kill Carl already?

Overall, this installment was entertaining even if it wasn't completely satisfying. This stupid war that has been drawn out over way too many issues is resolved, even if it is in a ridiculously stupid and anticlimactic manner.

I feel like I am a slave to this series, I have to keep reading even though I'm not always sure if I want to. Kirkman either needs to have something major happen or start wrapping it up.
