Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
5.0

Review:

I very much enjoyed this book, and like most people, I liked it better than the first book, Clockwork Angel.

So onto the plot. A lot of people have said that The Infernal Devices has almost the exact same plot as The Mortal Instruments, just different names and such. But I haven't read TMI, so I wouldn't know. What I do know is that I've read like three other books that have to do with Nephilim (is that how you spell it?) and none have been as enjoyable as The Infernal Devices. I liked the idea about Shadowhunters, and how they hunt demons and such. And besides Nephilim, it includes other mythical (or not mythical, depending on your beliefs) creatures unlike most YA books. It includes vampires, werewolves, demons, and probably other stuff I can't think about right now.

Love Triangle-thing

So in Clockwork Prince there's a love triangle, like always. I mean really, we all know who she's going to end up with (Team Will!) This love triangle in particular is very frustrating to me, because she's litterly like "Oh I love Jem" "The way Will acts makes me think he's bad news, and I should stay away from him" etc., and it's like sheesh woman make up your mind! And the last like 50-ish maybe 70 pages of the book I just wanted to slap Tessa (if you read the book you know what I'm talking about, kind of).

Characters

Will, of course, is my favorite character in the book. In Clockwork Angel, you know like nothing about him. But then you read Clockwork Prince and you learn SO MUCH about him. I can't post the things you learn about him here, because that'd be spoilers, but you learn so much.

Jem. I really don't like Jem. He's just soo.... annoying. His personality (in my opinion) I think is selfish- sorta. There was this one part of the book that he thinks Will did something for him, but he really didn't.

Tessa Grey, our protaganist in the story, and by far the most annoying character in the book. Is it just me, or what because 9.5/10, I hate the main character in books (Vampire Academy, Hunger Games,Hex Hall, Hush Hush, Divergent- just to name a few). I can't count with my fingers and toes the books I hate the main characters in. She made the stupidest choice EVER, and I wanted to slap her.

All in all, I really liked the book (heck, I LOVED it). Really hope to see how it concludes in Clockwork Princess.
