Love Flushed wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't great.
As this book is a continuation of the All Access series, I knew that Annie and Lincoln were exes who still had feelings for each other, but damn! I was not expecting the soap opera levels of drama that were revealed in this book that bordered on unbelievable.
It is revealed half way through the book that Lincoln's mother, a conservative politician, was concerned how her son's relationship with Annie would effect her campaign. To get them to breakup, she threatened Lincoln with his brother's healthcare bills. (Theo, Lincoln's younger brother was in accident with their alcoholic father that caused him to become an amputee.) So, Lincoln having to comply to save his younger brother ghosts Annie on the same day they had originally planning to elope on. Then when Lincoln finally reconnects with Annieshe is too hurt to listen to him and ghosts him back. This horrible miscommunication last almost ten years before the start of this book! Are you fucking kidding me!
In short, the idea was good, but the execution fell flat for me.
