I disliked Mercy (one of the main characters). I think you have to like Mercy to like the book. Why was she so interested in digging into the past of a guy she just met? Who goes to tea with that guy’s mom without telling him? Who writes his sister and meets with her without telling him. It’s really questionable behavior. Meanwhile, Mint, the guy’s mom,  is made out to be the villain because she thinks Mercy is asking way too many questions. Mercy is the villain of this story. And she gets away with (spoiler alert) murder.
