Pyramids
by Terry Pratchett
I really liked the dimensions-bending, silly quantum stuff about pyramids, as well as the comic irreverence about the nature of belief/religion. Combine that with our very cool protagonist Teppic, an Assassins' Guild graduate who has yet to 'inhume' anyone , and you've got me sold.
I also noted a more settled quality to the writing here. Not as frenetic and rough as the earliest books. I think Pratchett's hit his stride and really has something to say.
