Ever Mine
by Laura Pavlov
Ever Mine is a second chance romance between sports psychologist Everly Thomas and her new client and first love, NHL star Hawk Madden. Working closely together causes old feelings to resurface and eventually leads to them having to face what happened in the past while working towards a possible future together.
I liked the discussions of grief, how it affects everyone differently, and the importance of not bottling up your emotions. It was nice to see Everly slowly learn to open up to others and not run away whenever she felt afraid.
I also thought the interactions between Everly and her sisters were sweet.
There were a few things throughout the book that I wasn’t a huge fan of, like the miscommunication/jumping to conclusions, but it was still a cute story.
