shelved 's review for:

Oresteia by Robert Icke, Aeschylus
4.0

A lot of the reviews on here seem to be for the Oresteia in general and not Robert Icke's adaptation but we move.

I loved Icke's modernisation of this which still feels timeless in its own way. The choice to make Electra
a figment of Orestes' imagination
in this adaptation is buckwild, and yet works perfectly. The commentary in the courtroom in regards to Clytemnestra's being demonised also cuts so sharp in this.
