Things We Never Said by Samantha Young

5.0

Oh my stars the heartbreak of this story. I was blown away at the emotions that Samantha Young had woven into the words of this book. As a HUGE fan of hers and this series, seeing Dahlia’s story unfold was stunning, raw and emotional! I had a really hard time putting it down. I think this one is my favorite out of all the Hart’s Boardwalk books to date.
The one thing that got me about this book is the guilt that Dahlia carried with her the whole time. About her sister, life with her family, everything. When she goes home, everything implodes when her family realizes what exactly happened that fateful night that changed everything. I wanted to smack some people but as things progressed, their eyes opened. Including Michael’s. The whole situation between these two is heartbreaking but I honestly do not blame Dahlia for doing what she did. But their love endured. Once things played out in Boston, I adored Michael and how he fought for Dahlia in Hartwell. Their chemistry was undeniable and so much more!
As a whole, this book was breathtaking and honestly one of my favorite books of the year so far. If you have not taken a chance on Samantha Young, do so please! These books will hit you hard with the feels and the intrigue!
