This one is so good.

At the start it felt a bit slower as we dealt with Patrick’s arrest and subsequent release. I enjoyed how that all played out. Patrick was really for the first time without his magic and he was reliant on the human justice system. The gods of course couldn’t help themselves and got involved but it was interesting how it was done.

The pace then picked up and it was a never ending battle. Thankfully this author can write a good fight scene and had me on the edge of my seat a few times wondering how the guys were going to get out of the situations they found themselves in.

I enjoyed the new gods, this time the Hawaiian and Egyptian gods were central to the fighting. I find it interesting seeing who picks which side and why. I like the fact Patrick is no longer hiding and his whole family history is out in the open.

You can feel it’s getting close to crunch time, and I am dying to know how this all finishes.
