As a Indian myself, I sometimes get a little uncomfortable with reading books the showcases my culture.  Its maybe because I'm nervous that other people might perceive it the wrong way or the representation maybe bad. But this book....omg....I will say that I expected to read just a simple rom com and I got more than what I bargained for. This book shows the importance of community that our people really believe in, very accurately and it also showed the toxic parts too. Tbh I was def more interested about the whole family situation than the romance but even then I liked them. It was a solid read, but I do think it was little on the nose with the feminists themes (I'm saying this as a feminist), if I have to sleep out why certain things are problematic to a guy, I'm not gonna date him.
